The Amazing Human Body Exhibition

Yesterday my frinds and I went to go see The Amazing Human Body Exhibition where they had real human specimens that were once living!! They are preserved through a method called "plastination" where they are dry, odourless and remain unchanged for a virtually unlimited amount of time! They had about 400 real human specimans and 18 whole bodies and individual organs. We weren't allowed to take pictures, so I had to take them off the website. =( The exhibition was amazing and we spent well over 2 hours in there! It was crazy to see what is inside your own body! We got to see lungs of heavy smokers and it was horribly disgusting! They were both all completely black and gross! We even saw the lungs of a city dweller and they even had black spots due to smog!

After the exhibition we went and had something to eat at an Italian restaurant and it was delicious! We even had dessert! Mmmm..... It was great to just sit and chat with my friends outside of uni. So great in fact, we sat there until it was dark!

Catherine And Nigel's Wedding

Last night I went to my 2nd cousin Catherine's wedding (She is Chi Hong's eldest daughter). I missed out on the church ceremony because I had to work, but Tho said that it was beautiful. Loc however got lost on the way and never made it!

Catherine married Nigel who is an Indian. Random, hey?? But they were so in love that there was no doubt that were meant to be together. The reception was in Bankstown and the place looked gorgeous! The food was also delicious. But obviously the dessert was the best. They had sugared almonds as their bonboniere and small chocolate scented candles for all the ladies.

The band was really good, they played old, romantic slow songs, which was very fitting. They also had entertainment between the entree and the main. It was a performance with girls dancing hawaiian and polynesian. I always wonder how they can shake their hips like that! Then there were men who pulled guys from tables to teach them how to do the Hakka. It was very amusing to see them do a war dance so badly!! There was a guy that also did a fire dance with two poles and both ends on fire!
It was nice catching up with Tho and Fay again. We don't see each other too often. Loc however i see once in a while. When he's bored he calls me up and we got to dinner. From the photos you can see, that all though it's been a while since we've seen each other, we still haven't grown up!

In other news, I have found someone that would like to see 30 Seconds To Mars with me and it's someone most unlikely! Fay! So we agreed that if no one else wanted to see them, we'd go together! So it looks like I won't be enjoying the music alone!! Yay!!
Anyways all in all it was a fun night and the most interesting wedding I've attended so far!

HAPPY EASTER!!

I hope everyone had a great easter break! I know I have! 4 days off from uni, who wouldn't be cheering?!? However I did have to do some uni work =( I did however make quite a haul on the chocolate easter egg front! (As you can see in the pictures, that's actually not all the eggs I got, I kinda ate a few before taking those shots! Whoops! But they were tasty!)

On Good Friday, a friend had a BBQ and we all had a gourmet seafood dinner (he is a chef), so the food was delicious! We had ate, exchanged chocolate easter bunnies and watched 300. It was a good movie, a bit too much blood and gore for my liking. However what was to my liking was 300 men with their shirts off and abs of steel! WOO HOO!!

On Easter Sunday, Dad and I went down to Di 5 and had dinner. Cau 3, Di 9 and Darren were also there. We had more seafood, which was yummy! No wonder we eat meat the rest of the year, because all the seafood is eaten during easter! Anyways, after dinner we had a Karaoke competition with the whole family! Even the grown-ups joined in - although they sang vietnamese songs! We all got a score out of 10 from everybody. Cau 3 was winning until Nicholas sang again and swept the floor and won the easter egg basket! However he was kind enough to share his winnings with us losers!

All in all, it was a great easter but I wish the rest of my family was here to enjoy the chocolate bunnies with me! =)

New Boots For Winter

I love where I work because not only do we have cool stuff, I also get to see the new stock before customers, so when you find something cool you can snap them up before they're even on the shelves. Plus a 30% discount doesn't bad either!
So obviously when these new winter boots came in, I had to have them to keep my little toes warm on these cold Australian nights! they're so warm and stylish too! They go halfway up the calf, so my legs are warm too!

Now these weren't the only boots I have recently purchased. I also got a pair of black pointy boots, these however I am able to wear outside the vicinity of my house!! They are adorable and very comfy too, fit for dancing all night! All for a low price of $50 - I got $10 off because they were having a sale! Woo Hoo! See I am saving!! =P However, I look like a crazy big haired weirdo in this shot, but hopefully you can see my boots.

My New Haircut And Another Birthday

So it's not really much of a cut, I just can't part with my hair just yet since it took me years to actually get it this long, but just a new style really. I cut my fringe cause I was getting bored with my look and this was the least drastic option of changing it. My friends say it makes me look more asian, hmmm.... what do you think???

For my friend Joel's birthday, we went out to the Chinatown and had dinner at the Superbowl. Now I was being all know it all - "I'm asian so I go to Chinatown all the time and know where everything is" - but in my defence, I was completely under the impression that it was the Superbowl that dad use to always take us to on special occasions. So we were standing there and we were calling our freinds who were already there to come outside because we couldn't see them in the restaurant. They told us they were upstairs, but there was no upstairs to the restaurant we were in front of. However lo and behold we were in front of the wrong restaurant and there are TWO superbowl restaurants in Chinatown! Who would do that??? That's Chinatown for you. So we finally arrived at the restaurant and everyone was already there waiting for us. We ordered food and about 20 mins later our tables were filled with dishes. Very fast service and good food too. My poor friend Nicoletta was fasting meat for lent, so we had to order a vegetarian dish for her, I felt so bad because she couldn't eat all the great food, like salt and pepper squid, pippies and peking duck. She totally missed out!

After dinner we went to Star Bar and played some pool, danced and had some drinks - none for me though. Was feeling sick and coughing from the cigarette smoke - ewwww! I also had work at 8:30 the next morning. I happened to be on the winning team twice in a row! However I totally suck at pool and have lost all the skill I had when I was in the states and playing with Jason. So I suppose it was my partner that helped us win!! I was planning on going home early but was having so much fun that I didn't make it home until about 2am! You can imagine how I was at work after 5 hours sleep!

Nat Actually Has A Life!!

On the 2th of March, my friends and I went to a friends birthday party at the Cyprus Club in Stanmore. It was a Greek restaurant and it was a fun night hanging out with friends. I finally got the photos off a friend (that's why you should always bring your own camera. The food was blah-zay - not that good, the service was forever because there was only ONE waiter!! But what it lacked for in food and service it sure made up for in entertainment. There was a live band and there were two singers a male (who looked like a skinny version of con the grocer with the long curly black hair) and female (who wore a tight and unflattering dress that showed what underwear she was wearing) alternating so they could have outfit changes - that's entertainment!! Also with greeks, they love to dance so the diners would get up and dance. There was this one lady that was holding on to her youth with her tights jeans and tight short top that showed her belly button ring! However given her "trying too hard" appearance, she was a pretty good dancer and was very flexible!! The birthday boy Alex also got the male singer to sing him Happy Birthday - it was pretty funny!! After dinner, we went for ice-cream in Leichardt and then I headed home, I was so pooped!!
